Smartphones have become the bread and butter of daily lives and that is where all the apps and games go. While such devices almost always have touch screens and hence games built for such devices have different modes of operation all together. Recreating the same experience is often difficult and hence these games never get ported to PC. Frontline Commando 2 is one such first person shooter game available on iOS and Android. The Game Itself

Frontline Commando 2 is a continuation of Frontline Commando series from Glu and maintains the same gameplay tactics. The original was a revelation and Frontline Commando: D-Day was probably the next best. The sequel to them is much simplified with more shooting. The levels get progressively harder and some amount of grinding is needed unless of course you are ready to shell out cash to make things easier. The game is free to play, but certain things require virtual currency, which is hard to get by, and hence you have to spend real world money.

The Gameplay

Frontline Commando 2 follows the same basic plot. The character cannot physically move and is armed with weapons to shoot at enemies. The weapons can be upgraded with money. You are also required to acquire a squad and train them – which take long time or you, can just pay and make it quick. The shooting can be done with a scope to hunt out enemies as they pop up and your squad will automatically kill a few of them. The game is mostly set in urban landscape. The shooting and overall gameplay has been simplified with almost no strategy at all. While many would appreciate it, the simplification of the game is not what was required at this stage. The missions (overall 50 of them) feature enemies and last for a few minutes along with sub goals to achieve more money. They also feature a boss at the end, which you need to kill in order to complete the game. The experience of playing this first person shooting game on PC would definitely be great and so are the special effects.

Getting Frontline Commando 2 for PC up and running would mean recreating the smartphone environment in your PC. This can be easily done with BlueStacks – an Android app and game emulator that can run apps and game as well. Installing the game within the emulator is fairly simple.
